About Young Inventors’ Award

INTRODUCTION
Established in 1986 at the suggestion of Nobel Laureate in Physics Prof Yang Chen Ning, Tan Kah Kee Young Inventors’ Award (TKKYIA) encourages young students to be curious and apply scientific principles to create innovative solutions in inventions.

It is organised by the Tan Kah Kee Foundation (TKKF) with the support from the Ministry of Education and Science Centre Singapore.

Each year, the award ceremony is a grand event held at the Science Centre Singapore and attended by a Minister or senior government official from the academia or research institutes. Keenly supported by schools and research institutes, the event includes an exhibition of all award-winning entries.
